Brighten and Refresh Your Face with Eyelid Surgery
Some people say the eyes are the window to the soul. The eyes certainly are an important source of expression and can reveal much about how someone feels. Over time, the skin around the eyes can begin to droop due to decreased skin elasticity and the development of fat deposits around the eyes. This causes individuals to have sagging upper eyelids or bags under the eyes that make them appear tired, unhappy, or even older than they actually are. Fortunately, Dr. Kishinevsky is experienced in providing patients from Stamford, Norwalk, and all surrounding communities with exceptional eyelid surgery solutions to help them achieve a younger, more rested appearance.
Types of Eyelid Surgery
During eyelid surgery, Dr. Kishinevsky trims away unwanted fat and skin deposits from the upper or lower eyelids. There are two types of eyelid surgery: upper eyelid and lower eyelid surgery. During upper eyelid surgery, an incision is made along the eyelid crease and is closed with fine sutures to minimize visible scarring. There is no scarring with lower eyelid surgery since the entire procedure is performed on the inside of the eyelid. Eyelid surgery can also be performed using a chemical peel to eliminate excess skin and fine lines for less scarring and risk of complications. Since there is little scarring, and patients benefit from shorter recovery times.
Eyelid Surgery Results
Patients who undergo eyelid surgery are pleased with their brighter and more animated appearance. The procedure can add a crease to the upper eyelid of Asian eyes and take years off the appearance of the face. Eyelid surgery can also enhance peripheral vision by addressing the obstruction caused by sagging eyelids. Eyelid surgery can be combined with injections of dermal fillers such as Restylane® and collagen for superior facial rejuvenation results. Change what your eyes say about you!
