What Is Microneedling?
- Dr. Kishinevsky, our board-certified plastic surgeon, can rejuvenate your skin by lightly pricking its surface with very tiny, sterile needles. She uses a high-tech handheld device to do this. Our medical-grade needles are only 0.5 to 2.5 millimeters in diameter.
- As your skin heals from these tiny pinpricks, collagen production occurs. This can smooth out lines and wrinkles, giving you a younger appearance. The process is also called collagen induction therapy.
- Microneedling can also give your face a plumper, more luminous look as it encourages skin cell growth as well. It has been proven safe for all skin types.
- Each session lasts around 30 minutes, depending on how many areas of your body are being treated. You should see dramatic results begin to appear over the next four to six weeks.
